Livestock

We run around 7500 Merino ewes in a self‑replacing flock, with the remainder joined to terminal sires for prime lamb production.

Lambs are finished in our on‑farm feedlot. Our pasture program is reseeded each year with cereals, clover, ryegrass and vetch to support high stocking rates, and our pasture paddocks remain continuous based on long‑term suitability.

Sheep are shorn in January, and we lamb in July onto established pastures to give ewes and lambs the best start.

Our livestock team includes a Livestock Manager, a Senior Stockperson, and seasonal casuals who assist during peak periods.

Our main objectives with our livestock enterprise are;

1.    Grow quality pastures to maximize stocking rate

2.   Keep our ewes in condition score 3

3.   Grow our XB Lambs and Merino wethers to a maximum weight target in optimum time

4.   Maintain a low stress stock environment
